A 2001 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, and a 1998 Master of Studies in Environmental Law recipient from Vermont Law School, Jenny R. Culler comes to Stack & Associates with a track record of environmental advocacy. Ms. Culler was awarded the Shelley Knox Award for Dedication to Public Interest Law while in law school, and a fellowship from the National Association of Public Interest Law right out of law school, whereby she worked for Georgia Legal Watch in Athens, Georgia, to monitor the consent order in the important Georgia Supreme Court decision of Sierra Club v. Hankinson. Through this work, Ms. Culler developed a focus in clean water law, especially as related to the processes surrounding the establishment of total maximum daily loads of pollutants allowed into certain water bodies in Georgia. Upon completion of her fellowship, Ms. Culler enjoyed a clerkship with the Hon. Horace J. Johnson, Jr., superior court judge for the Alcovy Circuit, and later joined the law offices of Lancaster & McKillip, P.C., where she litigated a wide variety of issues. Throughout her career, Ms. Culler has been a board member, then president, then strong advocate for the Athens-based Upper Oconee Watershed Network, has volunteered for Georgia Legal Watch, and has also branched out into legal learning in other ecologies with a fellowship with the Western Environmental Law Center in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to beginning her legal career, Ms. Culler dabbled in animal learning and behavioral psychology at Indiana University, graduated cum laude from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, and grew up a good sandlapper in Lexington, South Carolina.
